Residency Application for the Kuwaiti Board

Step 1: Document Preparation
Prepare the following documents to apply for a residency program in Kuwait:
- CV (in English)
- Passport-sized personal photo
- Degree and transcript
- Internship year completion report
- If your internship year is incomplete, upload your rotation schedule with the end date clearly indicated. This serves as proof that your internship will conclude before the start of residency programs on October 1st.
- Copy of Civil ID
- Copy of Passport
- 3 Letters of Recommendation
- Must be no more than 2 years old, preferably related to the specialty you’re applying for.
Step 2: PGE Account Registration
- Follow KIMS on Twitter or Instagram to be notified of the registration day.
- Once registration opens, create an account on kims-pge.org, typically accessible for 7 days.
- Ensure your name matches your passport exactly.
Step 3: Online Application
- You will be notified of application start and end dates via social media.
- Upload all required documents, including any signed forms.
- Applications remain open for two weeks.
- Select two specialties:
- Option 1: First choice
- Option 2: Second choice
Important: Check your email (including spam) for updates. Applications may be rejected due to issues like mismatched signatures or incorrect photo format.
Step 4: Entrance Exam
- Once accepted, you may be required to sit an entrance exam, depending on your chosen specialty.
- Exam format: 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) at the knowledge level of medical school.
- Dates and times will be posted on the PGE webpage.
- Mandatory written tests are required for these specialties:
- Internal Medicine, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Dentistry, Histopathology and Cytopathology, and Principles of Surgery(includes General Surgery, OBGYN, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery).
Step 5: Interview
